Artwork: MIAD Project
Exhibition Text:
This poster I had titled Painted Diversity. The concept behind this piece is demonstrating the different races which is what the different skin tones represent and the hand painted in white represents a canvas. What I wanted to show with this was equality and united races. My inspiration for this piece is the civil rights movement.
Inspiration:
The civil rights movement which the main purpose of it was to desegregate and give equal rights to African Americans. Which also illegalized discrimination towards peoples color, national origin, race, and religion. I used the civil rights movements as my inspiration for my piece since I wanted to demonstrate equality. No matter the color, race, and national origin we are all one, all the same.

Planning:
For both sketches I wanted both pieces to connect with each other. I wanted to include the same idea using the civil rights act as my inspiration. The background will include different skin tones and a white painted hand. For the design that I will be using are black colored splatter design. The black colored splatter is going to be used on the first one and will use black colored swirls for the opened hand, the second sketch.
